Adams County Neighbors Connect Event
KIND came together with the Adams Co. Fire and Sheriff departments, ECPAC, the Migrant Education Program and many others in an Adams County hosted event for non-profits and the community to come together.
KIND was thrilled to be involved and provided oral hygiene items and information about our clinics, with our newest clinic at the C4 taking center stage.
Such a fun forum – even food trucks and yard games – all at Rotello Park in Denver. A deejay livened things up all while many resources were offered to neighbors including free haircuts. Puppy adoptions were also on-site! Who can resist?!

Vision & Hearing at Focus Points Family Resource Center!
KIND was so excited to be invited to provide dental resources for the families who attended. This aligns with our mission to not only care for children’s teeth, but also backs our belief in whole-person wellness.
We were also happy to have a second touch point or interaction with these families, as they had also participated at our Give Kids a Smile event hosted at FPRC several months prior!
Adams 12 5 Star 5K and Wellness Fair
Riverdale Regional Park was buzzing, as KIND prepared for families to stop by and learn more, receive oral hygiene supplies and spin a prize wheel.
This was such a nice way to connect to the A12 community and deepened our relationship as we treat many Adams 12 students through our Chopper Topper program. Please email kbarnes@kindsmiles.org if interested in additional info.
Something to make you smile…
Kid quote from the event:
When talking to child attendees about their teeth, we said “your teeth mush be great” in response to how often they were brushing (more than 2x a day!)
Kid said, “Not really”
McElwain Elementary Reading & Recreation
After a connection at the Adams 12 5K, we were excited to partner with McElwain principal, Sara Olson for their Reading and Rec event! KIND joined some fun groups like: Dinosaur Ridge, Environmental Learning for Kids, City of Thornton Community Connections, Anythink Libraries and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
KIND also provided jump ropes and oral hygiene products. And we served about 131 children!
Coming Up - Palooza anyone?!!
KIND will provide free dental screenings and fluoride on August 8th, 9- 2 pm at the Preschool Palooza hosted by Cherry Creek School District at Eastridge Elementary School. Kids who receive dental care will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a bicycle!!
Children entering preschool in the fall within CCD can receive dental care regardless of family’s ability to pay. Please contact Lisa Valdez at lvaldez@kindsmiles.org for more info.
