More healthy smiles & happy kids, thanks to YOU!
Thank you Coloradans for supporting children across the state in need of dental care like NEVER before! Thanks to our KIND community support, KIND served 9,776 children with $1,314,088 of needed dental care in 2018! We could not have done this without the big hearts and help of our funding partnerships, donors, community collaborators, volunteer board of directors, and 62 volunteers who gave 583 hours of their time – both dental professionals and members of our community – to help KIND children and families!
In addition to helping us treat more children than ever before, YOU stepped up and helped us accomplish the following in 2018:
Triple our fundraising event proceeds through new and old event traditions, like our very first Rise & Smile Partners Breakfast, our 31st Strokes of KINDness tournament, and 7th Expressions of KINDness Gala!
Embrace a new community partnership in Colorado Springs, as we our moved to share clinical space with Mission Medical Center! This collaboration decreased KIND’s overhead cost in order to direct more of YOUR donations directly to care, and increasing access to care for whole families in one location!

Expand our reach through KINDCares: a program for community targeting education for whole families and into our community via screening events, health fairs, Free Family Dental Days, and more!
Decrease our administrative/fundraising to programming expense ratio (AFR) from 27% to 23%!
Establish a direct sponsorship program, Adopt-A-Smile for KIND, through which YOU supported care for children in need via monthly donations that will continue to uphold KIND’s promise that no child is turned away due to inability to pay!
