Colorado Children Need Our Help — and Yours.
Kids in Need of Dentistry serves thousands of children every year throughout the state of Colorado, and we rely on charitable donations, planned gifts, and in-kind donations such as dental supplies to serve the children who need care the most.
At KIND, every single donation makes a difference. We give donors and supporters a “hands-on” approach to giving, offering the opportunity to direct their contributions toward particular areas, services and even specific children through innovative programs such as our “Adopt-A-Smile” sponsorship. Donors may also designate their gift to go toward KIND’s greatest area of need.
Whatever the application, you can always be confident that your donation will be used responsibly to help those in need. KIND uses nearly 90 percent of all contributions on programs serving children, and we consistently receive the highest ratings for financial integrity and program excellence.
What Your Donation Means:
Whether you can contribute $10 or $5000, your contribution to KIND makes a real difference. Regardless of the amount, KIND devotes all contributions toward providing quality dental care for children in need.
If you have:
- $10 you can help purchase 5 toothbrushes
- $25 you can provide oral hygiene preventive counseling and an oral hygiene care bag
- $50 you can pay for a child’s exam, x-rays, cleaning, and fluoride treatment
- $100 you will be providing a new patient exam, x-rays, a cleaning with preventive counseling, a fluoride treatment and 4 preventive sealants
- $500 you could help a child who needs 4 composite fillings and 1 root canal and crown
Most charitable donations are tax deductible. KIND encourages donors and supporters to consult a tax professional to learn more about the tax advantages of donations, planned gifts and in-kind donations.
Colorado Gives Day, Tuesday, December 6.
Make your donation go farther to support KIND. Colorado Gives Day is a new initiative to increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, your donation will be increased proportionately by the $300,000. Incentive Fund that FirstBank is offering this year.
To participate, go to GivingFirst.org and select, Kids In Need of Dentistry, during the 24 hr. period on December 6, 2011, knowing 100% of your donation will go to KIND.
Income Tax Credit
KIND’s dental clinic in Commerce City is an approved 2011/2012 Enterprise Zone Contribution Project and qualifies the donor/contributor for 25% State of Colorado Tax Credit for any contribution above $100. on the total amount of the donation. In addition, in kind services such as volunteering your services to KIND’s families in our clinic garners a 12.5% tax deduction.
