Our Team

The KIND staff is a group of individuals dedicated to eliminating dental disease through treatment and education. Their work and passion to serve Colorado’s children in need is apparent in the joy and commitment they put in to their work. KIND has one on-staff dentist and a team of hygienists, administrative assistants and facility coordinators that help to ensure each clinic runs as efficiently as possible.

Julie Collett - Executive Director

  • Julie Collett is a Registered Dental Hygienist, who has been Executive Director of Kids In Need of Dentistry since 2007. Julie has more than 30 years of dental experience. She graduated from Union College with an Associate Degree in Health Science and then received her Dental Hygiene Degree at Pueblo Community College in Colorado. She has been involved in nonprofit management for more than 18 years. Before coming to KIND, Julie was an Executive Director for the Alumni Awards Foundation. She started her career in development at Mile High Academy, a private Christian school in Denver as their first Director of Development. Julie sits on several boards as an oral health advocate for Colorado children in need. In 2013, Julie was accepted into Harvard Business School's Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management Program. She is passionate about KIND and the children that benefit from the organization.

    In her spare time, Julie enjoys traveling, sports, shopping and spending time with her two grand-kids, Charlee and Jack. Julie is a proud mom of two daughters, Jocelyn and Alexis, and their husbands Chase and Grant.

Sally Walker - Associate Director

  • KIND’s Associate Director, Sally Walker, has been with the organization since 2000. Her previous positions with KIND included the Programs Assistant and the Community/Volunteer Coordinator. Prior to working with KIND, Sally had ten years experience working as a dental assistant (EDDA) in private practice. She earned her B.A. in Music Therapy from Colorado State University and then focused her practice on serving medically fragile and developmentally disabled toddlers. Sally sits on the Colorado Nonprofit Association Membership Board. For fun, Sally enjoys camping with her family, skiing and cycling.

Sharon Fabrizius - Colorado Springs Clinic Coordinator

  • Sharon Fabrizius has been with KIND since 2008. She is the Clinic
    Coordinator for the Colorado Springs Program. She graduated from Pikes Peak Community College in 2006 with an Associates in Science, Associates in General Studies and graduated with a certificate from their Dental Assistant and EDDA programs. Her family is originally from Louisiana but, she grew-up in Germany and graduated in 1979 from Kaiserslautern High School. She moved to Colorado in 1985 as a military spouse and have called Colorado Springs her home ever since. Sharon feels blessed to have two sons, one daughter-in-law and one wonderful grandson.

Angela Flores - Denver Clinic Coordinator

  • Angela has worked in a dental office for over 6 years. She is a Colorado native who loves the outdoors. She is fluent in Spanish, and loves to make parents and children feel at home while in our office. As a team member of Kids in Need of Dentistry she hopes to make all new and current patients feel comfortable at our clinic while receiving treatment so that they leave with a smile on their face. She understands that feeling comfortable in our office is very important to parents, and patients, and strives to make everyone feel welcome. During her time off, Angela loves to spend time with her nieces and nephews, with the company of her family.

Magda Hunter - Accountant

Michelle Quigley, RDH - Program Director

  • Michelle received her BS in Dental Hygiene from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1990. She worked in private practice until she joined KIND in 2005 as the Chopper Topper Coordinator. In 2007 she decided to stay home with her children so she worked part-time with KIND in various positions until she became Program Director in 2015. She loves working with children and believes KIND is the best place to utilize her skills to fulfill their mission.

Lidia Rocha - Denver Clinics Dental Assistant

  • Lidia is a Colorado native who loves to enjoy the sun. She is fluent in Spanish, and loves working with children. She has worked in the dental field for over a decade and has completed additional training to be an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA). Lidia is a mother of two, and knows how important it is to be treated with the utmost respect and kindness. She likes to make all patients who walk through our door feel welcome and understood. As part of the Kids in Need of Dentistry team, she feels that it is important to be able to understand each individual patient, and provide any and all answers to their questions.

Reina Sterling, RDH - Chopper Topper Hygienist

  • The Dental field with Dental Hygiene being Reina's focus and passion now going on 20 years has been wonderful for her and her family. She was first a dental assistant for 8 years while working through pre-requisites at Metropolitan State College and Community College of Denver to achieve an Associate Degree of Science in 2000. Then, to continue to The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, School of Dentistry, achieving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2003 . After, working in private practice for many years, she has now shifted her career to KIND and the Chopper Topper Program! She is very excited to be part of such an awesome team and "knows together we will do great things!"
    Reina is married to Jeremy Sterling and they have two daughters Jerray and Maliah. Since they are Native Coloradans, they love the outdoors especially camping and fishing!
    For the last 8 years Reina has been a Girl Scout Leader with her daughters troop in the Commerce City area and have helped the girls learn and practice ways to help the community!

Lisa Valdez - Chopper Topper Hygienist

  • Lisa is a Colorado native who has practiced dental hygiene for 26 years. She attended Colorado Northwestern Community College for her dental hygiene degree. Working with children has always been a passion of hers, so working for KIND is the perfect job for her. She has a wonderful husband of 24 years and 3 amazing children. They love and enjoy the outdoors; camping, fishing, and hiking.
