Our Mission

Kids In Need of Dentistry (KIND) is a nonprofit organization that provides high-quality, affordable dental care to children in need throughout Colorado. Since 1912, KIND has helped thousands of children each year get the dental services they need at a cost their families can afford.

Kids in Need of Dentistry serves thousands of children every year throughout the state of Colorado, and we rely on charitable donation, planned gifts, and in-kind donations such as dental supplies to serve children who need care the most.

KIND has three clinics and many in-school programs to serve our patients conveniently. Dental care and education is our top priority.

KIND holds four main events per year to celebrate our supporters and raise money for our programs and clinics. Join us for our annual Golf Tournament in the summer, one of our two wine tastings in the spring and fall or the Gala each September.

KIND relies on private donations and giving to keep our programs and initiatives running and to help serve Colorado children in need.

KIND is always looking for volunteers. Whether you're a dentist that would like to spend a day in one of our clinics or a supporter that wants to give their time to helping with an event, we would love to hear from you!

  • Brad Helms from DCI Edge came to our Denver Clinic and gave an in-service to our staff on the brand new dental chair that DCI Edge donated to KIND. DCI Edge is a leading manufacturer of dental equipment and their owners are very philanthropic. In addition, our long time dental supplier, Henry Schein, donated the installation of this chair.
We are so fortunate to have wonderful people and companies who believe in our mission and support our programs!

Chopper Topper was at Lawrence Elementary School the other day. It was Damian's turn to be screened by KIND's Hygienist, Reina. He was terrified to go the first time his name was called. The next day Miss Reina walked down to his class to invite him again. Damian was still "scared and didn't think he could do it," Damian had a good friend, Kaleb, who had gotten his sealants earlier. Kaleb told Damian he would go down with him and said, "it's good because you get a goodie bag and everything!" He also told him, "And you get yummy vitamins at the end to keep your teeth healthy!" Damian did it and we are so proud of him!! ...

    Great job, Lawrence Elementary!
They had such stellar participation in the Chopper Topper program that they qualified to have a bicycle prize drawing. Here is the big winner, Nathan! Thank you to Mrs. Abeyta and Nurse Kelly for all their hard work in getting those consents back. And thank you to KIND's Hygienist, Miss Reina.
